Here in northwest Arkansas we have a large Marshallese community. In the past I have worked with middle school Marshallese students doing STEM outreach. Today was my first time volunteering for the community doing STEAM. If you’re not familiar STEAM it stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The School of Art at the University of Arkansas where I’m doing some post-bacc work welcomed a group of Marshallese students to learn about the art of photography. We showed the students how to make photograms and pinhole cameras. It was fun for the students and as always rewarding for me.
This skyline photograph was from the “Bad Photo” project.
